Article Spread

This magazine article is to advertise Marvel's Iron Man 3 film. With a stereotypical audience of adolescent boys (12-15) , it is laid out with an eye-catching photo of Tony Stark across both pages. The information then takes up only about a third of the page after a captivating title. Beneath this is a smaller photo to introduce a second (less important) character. The mage of Tony Stark is full bleed as this will make it more prominent and put the article information into perpsective quickly.

This is a double page spread created using images from my "Life's a Beach" project. I felt that I wanted to reflect a negative side of Weston-super-Mare but in a discreet way.  To do this I used bland and dark coloured photos to create a pessimistic atmosphere regarding Weston as a place. Then, I used the title "Fish & Chips & Drugs" so that the title was humourously reflective despite it's undersirable facts (with the percentage of drug addicts).
